Dave Hackett grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island and began attending real estate open houses at a relatively early age. By the age of 12, he often picked out open house advertisements on weekends, attempting to lure at least one of his parents to attend.
After spending years in the print advertising industry, Dave began working as an agent for Chicago Apartment Finders, mostly representing clients seeking apartments and condos for rent. During this time, he won awards for sales volume and client satisfaction, including a two year lease on a Mini Cooper Clubman (the company's equivalent of the Mary Kay pink Cadillac). Dave also spent three years working for the Laramar Group, managing the leasing and marketing for approximately 400 apartments on the north side of Chicago.
Dave is extremely happy to be back in Rhode Island and divides his very limited free time between restoring his 1930's home in the Auburn section of Cranston and spending time with family and friends in Newport. Outside of work, he spends time cooking and building things as an amateur carpenter and mason. A lifelong fan of This Old house, he is grateful for the variety of architectural styles throughout Rhode Island. Dave is a fund-raising co-chair for Historic New England Trust and Casey Farm in North Kingstown and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Saint Mary Academy - Bay View in East Providence.
